Meet Christi Bender, CPA, CTM

Christi Bender is a CPA, Tax Accountant, and QuickBooks Pro Advisor, and yet she is not your normal tax accountant or bean counter. She is adventurous, curious, passionate and bold, and an expert in individual and business taxes. She recognizes that numbers, data entry, and forms are only one part of a larger money picture. As your CPA, she asks her clients questions about who they are, what’s going on in their lives, how they spend and save money, and how they think about money. Her focus in on helping individual and service-oriented businesses with overall finances and with money mindsets. That often means cutting to the chase with honesty and Christi brings her own brand of humor to conversations that are sometimes sensitive in nature. She helps clients think strategically about their money and they leave her office with a sense of direction and feeling more confident and safe.

Christi started her career in public accounting in 1986 but in the 90's moved into the private sector and later spent 5 years as a forensic accountant. She moved into the tax world in 2010. Since then she has refined her client base and specifically enjoys those who have a growth mindset, are curious and are willing to invest in themselves. While her technical strengths focus on taxes, her personal values focus on and encourage people to be more powerful in their own lives.

Christi graduated from West Chester University with degrees in accounting and economics, a concentration in finance, and a minor in psychology. She is a member of AICPA, PICPA, and NATP. Since 2011, she has been the #1 accountant on Angie’s List in the greater Philadelphia area.

She enjoys hiking, golfing, scuba diving, fishing, and spending time with her husband, two fur babies, and friends.
